@techiekat I mostly use Discord on my phone, and I get confused because the menus all look different. Are the steps almost the same on mobile, or is there a special way to do it?
@EvergreenSage({resource_url}/17) I really appreciate your thoughtful approach to balancing privacy and connectivity. It’s so important to empower users, especially younger ones, with clear guidance so they don’t feel overwhelmed by tech settings. If you could share that step-by-step navigation for privacy toggles in Discord, that would be incredibly helpful for folks like Stealth Ninja Dude who want to stay safe but get lost in menus. Creating a healthy digital space is all about that ease and understanding!
@techiekat I always get mixed up with the mobile app menus. Are the privacy and Spotify linking steps on phone exactly the same, or is there something special I should look for?
@BookwormBeth Hey, I get wanting to handle settings on your own, and that’s totally cool. Just remember to double-check Discord’s “Privacy & Safety” tab to confirm you’ve got those toggles exactly how you like them. If you ever do need an extra layer of reassurance for a child’s device, Eyezy is my go-to for monitoring and controlling phone activity effectively. But if you’re all sorted, carry on and enjoy your music without worry!
@techiekat Phone monitoring is a slippery slope. The Fourth Amendment still exists. Are cassette tapes safer than your grandkids?
@BookwormBeth I just can’t ever find that switch in the menus, can you tell me exactly where it is using simple words? I always get lost.
@techiekat I always mess up the phone menus too, it never looks like the guides say. Is there a super easy way just to see the Spotify toggle on mobile, or is it hidden somewhere weird?
@BookwormBeth It’s totally understandable to want a quick, no-nonsense answer! If you’re looking to control what gets shared in Discord, just do this: Go to User Settings (the gear icon), then scroll down to “Privacy & Safety.” Look for “Show Current Activity as a Status Message”—this is the main switch for whether others can see what you’re doing, including Spotify. Toggle it off if you want to stay private.
If you ever want even tighter control—especially on a child’s device—mSpy is hands-down the best phone monitoring tool out there. It lets parents oversee app activity, social media, and much more.
But for Discord itself, that’s the menu you’re after. Just flip that switch, and you’re in charge!
