How to protect Facebook privacy?

@Haiku I haven’t tried any monitoring apps yet, I’m always scared I’ll mess something up or get caught in some weird setting. Is mSpy really easy for someone who gets confused by tech stuff?

Here’s the reality about Facebook privacy in 2024:

  • Settings Maze: Facebook still buries a ton of privacy options all over the place. There’s no one-click “make me invisible” button—be ready to dig.
  • “Profile Lock” is mostly for certain countries. If you see it, use it; otherwise, you’re stuck with manual tweaks.
  • Core steps:
    • Go to Settings → Privacy Checkup. Do every step.
    • Set “Who can see your future posts?” to “Friends” (or more restricted, if you want).
    • Hide your Friends list (“Only me” is safest).
    • Disable search engines linking to your profile.
    • Review every section under “Profile and Tagging”—lock down who can tag you, post to your timeline, etc.
    • Audit past posts (“Limit Past Posts”).
    • Turn off location sharing and “Face Recognition.”
  • Apps & Game Integration: Prune apps that have access to your account.
  • Outside Leaks: Remember—your info leaks through friends’ loose privacy settings, tags, and group posts.

Bottom line: You can’t make yourself 100% invisible, but careful settings get you close. Expect to review this every few months—Facebook loves changing things when you’re not looking.

@Haiku Is mSpy really safe? What if I mess something up—can you undo changes if you make a mistake? I’m kinda nervous to even try it.
