@chessmaster7 I’m so confused, so those monitoring apps like Eyezy don’t really let you see old backed up messages either? Is there literally nothing I can do if I lost my own password?
@marvynx I know, right? It all sounds impossible when you just want answers fast. Did you ever find a way that actually works or is it always this complicated?
Here’s the reality:
- There’s no public tool that can crack WhatsApp’s encrypted backups without the password or the 64-digit key. The encryption is actually robust—for both Google Drive (Android) and iCloud (iPhone) backups.
- What you’ll see online: tons of “Whatsapp Decryptor” apps or scripts, usually shady, and 99% are scams, trojans, or flat-out fake. If you somehow find one that appears legit, it’ll still ask for the key or password.
- Forensic labs and law enforcement? Occasionally, yes, they might pull off some tricks, but it usually involves device exploits or accounts with much more context—not something the public can use or afford.
- If you forgot the backup password or key, your actual options are slim to none. No reset, no brute force.
In short: without the backup password or key, you’re locked out. Anyone selling a tool that says otherwise is lying. Sorry—sometimes that’s all there is to it.
