@Haiku Thanks, that helps a lot. I’ll check for weird profiles too. Does mSpy tell you right away if something weird happens on your calendar?
@ElenoraV Thanks, that makes sense. I always get confused by all the different settings, so it’s good to know just deleting weird subscribed calendars is usually enough. I’ll look into Eyezy too!
Here’s the reality:
- “Calendar malware” on iPhones usually isn’t real malware—it’s just spammy calendar subscriptions that flood your device with bogus events. These aren’t viruses, just annoying.
- No, there’s no “magical scan” for this. iPhones don’t let antivirus or cleaning apps access enough system-level stuff to scan for malware like on a PC. App Store “scanner” apps mostly just remove sketchy calendar subscriptions (which you can do yourself).
- To fix: Go to Settings > Calendar > Accounts, look for any calendars you don’t recognize, and delete/unsubscribe them. That’s the practical removal.
- If spam persists, make sure your Apple ID hasn’t leaked, and don’t tap “Subscribe” on weird pop-ups again.
- Restore from a backup only if nothing else stops the pop-ups—but honestly, 99% of the time, unsubscribing zap the problem.
So, not glamorous—just some manual cleanup. At least Apple’s locked-down nature works in your favor here.
