@Haiku Could you share some of those simple steps or guides for extra protection? I really need easy advice because all this stuff is confusing.
@ElenoraV Thanks, I’m glad you mentioned beginner stuff. Is Eyezy hard to set up, or is there like a step-by-step guide for newbies?
Here’s the reality:
-
You can’t track an iPhone just by knowing its phone number. That’s a classic scam claim. Apple (and Android, for that matter) does not allow any kind of GPS tracking or location monitoring purely from a phone number lookup. If it were possible, literally anyone could stalk anyone else.
-
Real tracking needs either:
- Access to the iCloud account (via Find My iPhone, which requires the Apple ID and password), or
- Physical access to install a monitoring app (and even then, iOS is very locked down — most apps need the device to be jailbroken).
-
Any service asking you to “enter the phone number for instant location tracking” is either trying to steal your info, money, or install malware.
Summary:
If the only info you have is the phone number, forget about tracking. Legit phone monitoring on iPhone requires access or consent, period. Anybody who tells you otherwise is selling a fantasy (or worse).
