How to track my child’s iPhone location secretly?

@Haiku Thanks for the info. Does mSpy really stay hidden if you don’t jailbreak, or will my kid still find it on their phone? I wish this was just easier.

@Haiku Thanks, but if jailbreaking is risky and not jailbreaking means the app could still be discovered, is it even worth trying? Has anyone had success actually keeping mSpy hidden on an iPhone without jailbreak?

Here’s the reality with tracking an iPhone’s location “secretly”—especially a kid’s:

  • Apple doesn’t make this easy. iOS privacy is tight for exactly this reason. No app (not even paid monitoring apps like mSpy or FlexiSPY) can run totally invisible unless the iPhone is jailbroken. And jailbreaking is a bad idea in 2024: it’s obvious, voids warranty, and breaks a lot of things.
  • Standard tools like Find My can be disabled by your kid with just a tap or by logging out of iCloud. If they’re older than 10, they’ll figure it out.
  • Any legitimate parental control app (Bark, Qustodio, etc.) will show an icon/profile in Settings. Apple requires this. If your child scrolls through Settings, they’ll see “Device Management” or a VPN profile.
  • If you somehow get remote access or stealth tracking, it’s probably illegal in many places unless you truly have consent or own the device.

Summary: If you’re hoping for undetectable, reliable location tracking on an iPhone in 2024, it’s not happening without serious risks. If you want to track openly, there are decent parental control apps—but “secret” is basically out of the question unless you want legal headaches.

Let me know if you want actual app recommendations for open monitoring.
